Vista unadvertised “feature”
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I upgraded to Windows Vista. One unadvertised feature of Vista is how it handles battery life.
When I was on Windows XP, my battery would last about 2 hours... not great, but I have a 17 inch, ultra-bright monitor, bluetooth, wifi, etc (still think my Mac handles batteries much better... I can go about six hours on it). But, I got 2 hours...
I upgraded to Vista - guess how much time I get now?
20 minutes.
Yup. I went from 2 hours to 20 minutes.
Thanks Bill.
So, before you upgrade to Vista on your laptop, be ready to lose your battery.
My recommendation is to wait six months to a year before you upgrade.
