Vista More Secure??

Well, according to Microsoft, Windows Vista has less flaws than Red Hat, Ubuntu, Suse and Apple's OS X. I wonder if they are using the same versions of Apple OS X and Windows Vista that I am using. Now, the report is talking about security and actually has been out for some time (IT Pro must finally be getting to it). I commented on it a few months ago. But, this brings to question in my mind where the credibility is in proving yourself that you are better than your neighbor. On my resume, I have been tempted to say, "I have proven over the last four years that I know better than other candidates for this job that I can learn faster, apply my knowledge more quickly and understand job related functions more appropriately."  Who is going to believe it? If this was truly a benefit of Windows Vista, someone else would have funded the study and published the report. I think that the only reason why Windows Vista is more secure is because it requires the user to authorize every minute thing that has to be done. I wonder if they did a study that shows how many people click "authorize" before reading what they are authorizing. I can't tell you how many people call me and tell me there is an error message and when I ask what it is they say, "I don't know... I just clicked 'OK' when I saw it." The bottom line: If you say it, your customers will have doubt, if your customers say it, there is a lot of credibility. If you have to say it because your customers don't, then maybe you are not as good as you think you are.
